Accident Summary:
While on a test flight for checking fore and aft binding of the cyclic, at approximately 100 feet from takeoff, control became stiff. The pilot decelerated to abort the takeoff. The tail rotor struck the ground and separated from the aircraft. The main rotor struck the ground and the transmission came through the passenger compartment.
